Why ↘
Back when it started Shelter was a housing campaign for activists. More recently, the charity had gone soft. Fight For Home re-activated Shelter, revealing to the U.K. the hidden truth behind the housing emergency.
Fight for Home received the highest score for unprompted awareness for over two years, increased ad recall by 13 points and increased recommendation by 6.5%.
The campaign centres on a film showing real people impacted by the housing emergency voicing their stories. Directed by Independent Films’ director of Bafta-winning ‘Rocks’, Sarah Gavron and Anu Henriques, and set to a track written and composed by the award-winning rapper, singer and songwriter, Wretch 32.
Bold headlines on outdoor, print and online ads, designed and created at WWW, highlight uncomfortable truths behind the emergency. The ads, shot by acclaimed photographer Tom Cockram feature powerful black and white portraits of people affected by the situation.
